Plaine de France est un travail produit entre 2018 et 2024 en Seine-Saint-Denis, où Arthur Crestani a étudié la photographie et vit aujourd’hui.
Par des arpentages patients et répétés, combinant méthode et hasard dans une démarche ludique et exploratoire, Arthur Crestani scrute les formes mouvantes d’un territoire en transformation permanente.
Les photographies tentent de traduire l’expérience des lieux et la douce étrangeté qui les entoure et saisit les êtres qui les traversent.
Le développement du projet Plaine de France a bénéficié du Fond de Soutien à la Photographie Documentaire du Centre National des Arts Plastiques en 2021 et du soutien de La Capsule, lieu de résidence photo de la ville du Bourget, entre 2021 et 2024.
Plaine de France is a project created between 2018 and 2024 in Seine-Saint-Denis, where Arthur Crestani studied photography and now lives.
Through patient and repeated explorations, combining method and chance in a playful and exploratory approach, Arthur Crestani scrutinizes the shifting forms of a territory in constant transformation.
The photographs seek to convey the experience of these places and the gentle strangeness that surrounds them and captures the people who pass through them.
The development of the Plaine de France project received funding from the Documentary Photography Support Fund of the Centre National des Arts Plastiques in 2021 and was supported by La Capsule, a photography residency in the city of Le Bourget, between 2021 and 2024.
