Entre Deux Courses - 2024
Lauréates du programme Faire Paris 2023, les architectes Julie Pommier et Iana Vicq de Augure Studio ont enquêté sur les lieux d’attente des livreurs à vélo des plates-formes de livraison de repas à Paris, en collaboration avec Coopcyle et la Maison des coursiers à Paris, dans le cadre de leur projet Géographie de l’Invisible.
Chaque livreur a son lieu d’attente préféré, où il retrouve ses camarades et où il patiente, parfois longtemps, avant de recevoir une notification.
A l’invitation de Julie et Iana, entre juin et juillet 2024, j’ai arpenté le centre de Paris avec l’aide de Circé Lienart de Coopcycle afin de rencontrer les livreurs et de photographier les lieux et les situations d’attente.
Ces photographies font le portrait d’un Paris précaire et hostile aux livreurs, et racontent l’appropriation complexe de l’espace urbain par ces travailleurs en première ligne de l’économie numérique.
As winners of the Faire Paris 2023 program, architects Julie Pommier and Iana Vicq of Augure Studio investigated the waiting areas used by bike couriers for meal delivery platforms in Paris, in collaboration with Coopcyle and the Maison des coursiers in Paris, as part of their project Géographie de l’Invisible.
Each delivery person has their favorite waiting spot, where they meet up with colleagues and wait—sometimes for a long time—before receiving a notification.
Upon the invitation of Julie and Iana, between June and July 2024, I walked through central Paris with the help of Circé Lienart from Coopcycle to meet the delivery people and photograph the waiting spots and situations.
These photographs paint a portrait of a precarious Paris that is hostile to delivery workers, and tell the story of the complex appropriation of urban space by these workers on the front lines of the digital economy.
